Xiaoqi Village

Xiaoqi Village was founded in 787 AD during the Tang Dynasty. It is often called the 'Number One Ecological Village in China' due to its ancient camphor trees and pristine environment. The village is divided into 'Upper Xiaoqi' and 'Lower Xiaoqi,' known for their distinct architectural styles and agricultural traditions. Historically, Xiaoqi was a center for tea production and the birthplace of several prominent scholars and officials. Its preservation of ancient customs and its lush, green surroundings make it a living museum of rural Hui culture.
