The Tianshi Mansion (Celestial Master's Mansion) was the official residence and headquarters of the Zhang Celestial Masters, the leaders of the Zhengyi Taoist sect for over 1,900 years. Originally established during the Song Dynasty and extensively expanded during the Ming and Qing, the complex is a unique architectural blend of a royal palace and a traditional Chinese administrative office (yamen). It remains the spiritual heart of Longhu Mountain.
