Liukeng Ancient Village

Known as 'The First Village of the Thousand-Year-Old History,' Liukeng is a remarkably well-preserved ancient village with a history dating back to the Five Dynasties period. It is famous for its unique layout, numerous ancestral halls, and deep scholarly tradition.

📜 História

Liukeng Ancient Village was founded during the Five Dynasties period (907–960) by the Dong family. It is celebrated as the 'First Village of a Thousand Years' due to its exceptionally well-preserved urban plan and architecture. For centuries, it was a major center of education and Confucian values, producing 34 jinshi (imperial degree) holders, which earned it a reputation as a 'Hometown of Scholars.'
