Wanzai Ancient Town was established during the Ming Dynasty and flourished as a center for the production of fireworks and traditional Gan-style architecture. It contains 27 ancestral halls and over 30 historical residences, forming one of the largest and best-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty architectural complexes in Jiangxi. The town reflects the unique 'Ancestral Hall Culture' and the history of Jiangxi's merchant clans.
