Xiannv Lake (Fairy Lake)

Xiannv Lake is a beautiful scenic area centered around a large lake surrounded by forested hills. According to legend, it was here that the Seven Fairies descended to earth. The area features islands, temples, and beautiful walking paths.

📜 Histoire

Xiannv Lake is named after the story in In Search of the Supernatural by Gan Bao (Jin Dynasty), which records the earliest legend of fairies descending to earth. It was formerly known as Jiangkou Reservoir, built in 1958, and has since evolved into a national scenic area combining ancient mythology with beautiful aquatic landscapes.
