📜 Geschichte

Mingyue Mountain is named after its shape resembling a bright crescent moon. It has been a significant site for Zen Buddhism since the Tang Dynasty, with the Yangshi (Weiyang) sect having deep roots here. The mountain is also famous for its connection to the legend of Chang'e, the Moon Goddess, who is said to have lived here before ascending to the moon.
