Sixi and Yancun are two neighboring ancient villages that represent the pinnacle of Huizhou merchant architecture. Known as the 'Villages of Huizhou Merchants' Mansions,' they feature grand residences built by successful merchants during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The villages are famous for their 'Three Carvings' (wood, stone, and brick), which adorn the entrance gates, windows, and beams of the houses.
